In 2008, the Laboratory began publishing the academic journal Youth, Crime, and Society, with the aim of providing a forum for the study and research of sociological and criminological topics, particularly those related to youth and leisure. The journal publishes high-quality articles adopting multidimensional approaches, including in-depth theoretical discussions, analyses of quantitative and qualitative data, comparative studies, systematic evaluations of policies, practices, and interventions, and studies of institutions and political processes. Particular emphasis is placed on using social science methods to understand and evaluate criminological ideas and policies.
